ShE STEERS THE FATES

Her name means “fighter of men,” but after Greek raiders destroy her village, Andromache is left with little desire to fight for anything.


Seeking refuge in Troy, she is promised to a royal prince, but grief, anger, and the scars of her past make her an outsider in a city that expects her gratitude and obedience. Only Horn Blower, a wild and untamable horse with a terrifying cry and a spirit as wounded as her own, recognizes the strength she has forgotten.


As Andromache and Horn Blower forge an unbreakable bond, she begins to find her place within the legendary city of Troy. But the gods have already written Troy’s fate. The war is coming. The horse will enter the gates. The city will burn.

Drew RIvetty

Drew Rivetty is an adventurer who cast aside the Southern sensibilities of his Tennessee upbringing to get deep fried in culture shock as a journalist in California, Alaska, and South Korea. He then fled to Los Angeles to allow his imagination to recover as a life insurance salesman, stuntman, husband, food critic, pet playmate, personal trainer to the stars, and hoarder of mythological and comic books. She Steers the Fates is Drew’s first novel attempt to harness this life of perceptual overload and finally put his BA in English and Creative Writing from Belmont University to good use.
